Decatur, GA – The alleged robber is shown walking into the Belvedere Park Waffle House wearing a San Francisco 49er’s baseball cap, black hoodie, ripped jeans with red undergarments and red shoes.
He then jumps into a booth and points a gun at a worker demanding money from her. As the worker was retrieving money from the register the alleged robber points the gun in her face.
The shift cook felt pushed to do something after seeing his co-worker in trouble. After asking to remain anonymous, the cook describes his efforts to take matters into his own hands to protect his co-workers. Now in the hospital after having surgery for a gunshot wound to his stomach. He remains in good spirits as his mother spoke to WSB-TV explaining how she wasn’t surprised by her son’s heroic actions.
“I think he’s always going to do what he has to do to protect others,” she said. “He doesn’t think about himself first, and at that point, he felt like there was a danger, so he reacted as much as he could.”
