Journalist apologizes to Michigan GOP candidate after accidentally leaving a message on his voicemail

A fired journalist apologized after accidentally leaving a profane message on a GOP candidate’s voicemail without even knowing.

After calling the campaign headquarters of Republican Senate candidate, John James, to request an interview.  Brenda Battel hung up the phone and accidentally leaving a message without knowing that the phone wasn’t disconnected from the call.  She then was recorded saying, “If he beats her that will suck.  I don’t think it is going to happen… He’s hard to get ahold of I hope he doesn’t win because of that.”

Battle followed up Monday with the following tweet.
