TMZ is reporting that former MSNBC host, Chris Hansen, of “To Catch A Predator” has been arrested in Stamford, Connecticut, for writing bad checks.
Stamford Police Department released information that Hansen wrote a bad check for $12,998.05 to a small retailer for the purchase of hundreds of mugs, t-shirts and vinyl decals in 2017.
After the retailer threatened to call the cops, Hansen begged to be able to make arrangements after bouncing a second check. Hansen sent the retailer several emails updating him of his plan to sell a boat to help pay his debts, but the debt was never paid.
The retailer reported the encounters to the police and a warrant was issued for Hansen’s arrest. Hansen turned himself into the police Monday and was later released.
