Major League Baseball reacts to the sudden death of Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs

On the road in Texas for a series against the Rangers, the 29-year-old, Tyler Skaggs, was found dead Monday in the team’s hotel. Police have ruled out the suspicion of fouled play, but has yet to announced Skaggs cause of death.

Drafted right out of Santa Monica High School by the Los Angeles Angels, Skaggs has been remembered as a team player who was always looking to improve his game as a pitcher.

Tony Clark, head of the MLB Players Association, released the following statement, ” the fraternity of players is stunned and saddened today by the untimely death of Tyler Skaggs, and we extend our deepest sympathies to Tyler’s wife, Carli, and the rest of his family, teammates and friends.”
