7-Eleven owner arrested for selling homemade sanitizer

Bergen County, New Jersey – The New York Post is reporting that New Jersey resident, Manisha Bharade, 47, a 7-Eleven owner has been charged with deceptive business practices, and endangering the welfare of children by mixing foaming hand sanitizer not intended for resale and water together in bottles. Four young boys had burn injuries as a result of using Bharade’s homemade sanitizer.

Gurbir Grewal, the New Jersey Attorney General said, “Let me be perfectly clear: If you try to take advantage of our residents during a public health emergency, we will hold you accountable. Retailers who try to make a quick buck by exploiting others will face civil and criminal consequences.”
