Business owner receives $4m in COVID-19 SBA loans and buys a $318,497 Lamborghini

Miami, Florida – With over $4,000,000 from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Florida business owner, David T. Hines, had a lot going on for himself.

Instead of using the money to help keep his moving business afloat, he spent it on lavish things such as a brand new Lamborghini Huracan Evo.

But that’s not all that Hines purchased, he also spent thousands on dating websites, jewelry, clothes, and also lavish stays at Miami Beach hotels.

The Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program was a Congress approved $650 billion program that were a part of the CARES Act. If the funds were used properly, the recipient would not have to pay received funds backs. Unfortunately for Hines, cars, jewelry, clothes, and computer loves were not on the PPP list of approved use.

Hines was involved in a hit and run accident, and his Lamborghini was impounded. Coincidentally, Hines was arrested Friday for his unapproved use of the PPP funds. He appeared in court Monday and he was linked to impounded Lamborghini and hit and run accident.
