Atlanta, Georgia – What’s being reported as a possible compromise between the two, Governor Brian Kemp has been reported to have canceled an emergency court hearing that was scheduled for Tuesday.
The two leaders, Governor Kemp, and Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, have been going back and forth about concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the Georgia community. Keisha Lance Bottoms mandated that face mask were to be used. While Kemp felt as if mandating the use of facemasks were unnecessary and Lance-Bottoms was overstepping her ability by not adhering to his recommendations.
Kemp moved forward to sue the city of Atlanta for mandating face masks.
