Queens, New York – A 20-year-old student is in critical condition after being shot Monday for a slight shoulder brush.
Malachi Capers, brushed up against 27-year-old Jeffrey Thurston inside of a bodega. A fight followed that spilled out in front of the bodega, and Thurston took out a gun and shot Capers in the stomach.
Capers is now at a local hospital in critical condition. Thurston immediately went on the run, but was apprehended within a 48-hour period by a Regional Fugitive Task Force.
