The former Minnesota police officer responsible for the death of George Floyd allowed to leave the state because of security reasons

Minneapolis, Minnesota – Just released on a conditional one million dollar bail Wednesday, former police officer, Derek Chauvin, has been granted by a Hennepin County judge permission to leave the state. Because of fears that he may be targeted with violent acts of revenge for the death of George Floyd.

Chauvin is facing murder and voluntary murder charges for kneeling on Floyd’s neck for eight minutes, killing him.

The Hennepin County judge modified conditions that allows Chauvin to reside anywhere within the state of Minnesota or a neighboring state. Chauvin will not have a permanent address on public file, but he must keep his conditional release officer updated, he is required to keep a cellphone on him at all times,
