Atlanta, Georgia – The popular Texas-based food chain, Whataburger, is reportedly considering expanding into the metro Atlanta area.
Tomorrow’s News Today reports that Whataburger has been reviewing several sites that are under consideration. Currently with 840 locations, 700 of those locations in Texas, Whataburger will be opening its first locations in the metro Atlanta area. A location in Thomasville has been open since 2005 and another location in Brunswick, but later closed due to poor sales.
With over 1400 members, the Facebook page, “Bring Whataburger to Atlanta,” states:
“Like if you NEED a Whataburger location in the Atlanta area! There is strength in numbers, people. Atlanta is a major southern market, and full of people who are transplants from other areas. Everyone I’ve talked to who has ever had a Whataburger wishes there was a location here. Whataburger is missing out on our money, and we are missing out on the deliciousness that is Whataburger! Please, PLEASE bring Whataburger to Atlanta!”
The group posted on their page about the rumors circulating that Whataburger is considering the Atlanta market. Asking Whataburger to check out the group page for location ideas. “Editing to add: Whataburger y’all need to check the comments for all the location requests. 😁
shared by our friend, Stephen – and our group even got a mention! it could happen!
