Indianapolis, Indiana – An overnight shooting at a FedEx facility has left eight people dead plus the shooter, 19-year-old, Brandon Scott Hole. The Associated Press was briefed by local authorities on the status of the case and was given the identity of the shooter.
A the time of IndyStar’s publishing of the story, family and friends of employees were anticipating the status of their loved ones. Employees of FedEx facility are not allowed to have phones on the floor. Family and friends that were awaiting word of their loved ones was asked to wait at a local hotel where the IMPD and victim assistance units were be available for assistance.
FedEx released the following statement in the early morning hours of Friday, “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of our team members following the tragic shooting at our FedEx Ground facility in Indianapolis. Our most heartfelt sympathies are with all those affected by this senseless act of violence. The safety of our team members is our top priority, and we are fully cooperating with investigating authorities.”
