Paul Mooney dead at 79

Oakland, California- Born as Paul Gladney, but known on stage as, Paul Mooney, Wednesday morning.

Mooney was the writing Richard Pryor and had other minor roles throughout his career. Known for constantly using the “n-word” in his comedic routines, Mooney pledged to stop using it after viewing Michael Richards’s failed comedy routine.

In 2004, Mooney appeared on the BET Comedy Awards to do a standup called, “The Paul Mooney Awards.”
